Terms of Service

The rules for using NEXO, explained in plain language.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use NEXO on Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux. The license covers only your own reading and library organization use.

Acceptable use

Use NEXO lawfully and reasonably: do not try to break, overload, or abuse the sync service, do not access other users’ data, and do not use the app for any illegal activity.

Intellectual property

Your books, highlights, and notes remain yours. The NEXO name, logo, and brand belong to their owner, and you may not use them as your own or imply that you speak on their behalf.

Third-party services

NEXO relies on third-party services: Supabase for accounts and sync, Google for sign-in and Drive, and Sentry for crash reports. Each is governed by its own terms and policies, which you accept when you use those features.

Availability and warranty

NEXO is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it available and error-free, but the service may be interrupted or change, for example during updates or maintenance.

Limitation of liability

In plain language: to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for data loss arising from the use of the app. Keep backups of the books that matter to you.

Account termination

You can stop using NEXO at any time and request deletion of your account and data by writing to jcamachomolina503@gmail.com. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or abuse the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. We will publish the new version on this page with its effective date; if you keep using NEXO after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Contact

NEXO is maintained by an individual developer, not a company. For any question about these terms, write to jcamachomolina503@gmail.com.
